It's Over!

Greetings,

It’s over. Your Baggers came out on fire vs the undermanned Nevin’s club and the Baggers won 16-1 in a 4 inning slaughter. Next up, the 1st place Headhunters, the only team the Baggers hadn’t beaten yet this fall.

An early Bagger lead evaporated in an 8 run 3rd. The boys continued to chip away, scoring 2 in the 7th, and having 2 men on base, tying run at the plate, and a liner up the middle by Erik was shoestring snagged by their second basemen to end the game. Final score 13-10. We took the steam out of the Headhunters though, as they lost in the Championship to EAC/Candlelite. Overall, a fun season with many highlights, including our first win over EAC/Candlelite. What’s left? The banquet!

Working on polls and dates now, and I’ll get back to you soon on that.

In the meantime, stats and pics at;

Baggers Lose Meekly

EVANSTON - The double plays and overall team malaise your Baggers displayed will need to be replaced soon if the squad hopes to finish strong. Updated stats below.

Sunday 7 October 2007

Baggers win again in Hernandez Last Game.

EVANSTON - Your Baggers moved to 6 and 2 on the fall campaign following a 20 - 15 win over Ironbridge. There was a bit of controversy as it was rumoured that certain members of the squad were intentionally giving up runs to give Dave Hernandez a few more at bats in his final game as a Bagger. Thanks to Dave for the years worth of MVP effort. His bat, glove, speed and wit will be equally missed. Two more single games followed by the playoffs.

Baggers finally beat Candlelite!

EVANSTON - After years of trying, many close games, and a few too many chokes, your Baggers broke through. Up most of the game, and leading by 6 going into the final inning, they hung on for a 14-12 win. Congrats to all! Sadly that was the highlight of the evening as the second game the Baggers came out flat and lost 17 - 10 to the first place HeadHunters squad, as the doubleheaders section of the schedule comes to a close. Three weeks of single games closes out the fall regular season.
