EVANSTON - Despite a patchwork lineup, your Baggers won two last night at foggy Robert Crown park. Game one was against Mark II (Scorebook view included!) was tight throughout. The Baggers took a 2 run lead to the top of the 7th but couldn't close it out, leaving the Baggers with a tie game going to the bottom of the 7th. 3 straight quick singles won it 14-13. Highlights included a grand slam to take the lead by Peter Bloom in the 6th and triples by Al Gillmor and Mike O'Keefe along the way. Game two pitted your Baggers vs the fashionably clad Ironbridge squad, authors of last years favorite line, "We need to get some old guys." A slow start left the game tied at 4 after two, but the Baggers opened it up eventually slaughtering them 15-5. Homers by James Salvador, Peter Bloom, and Bob Durrbecks first of 2007 led the way.
